Hello, I’m Justin Tiang Pong Tan. I’m a Singapore-based visual artist, world builder, and writer of long captions. I’m pledged to Wonder, which I’m able to find just about everywhere. The need to preserve aesthetic traditions also informs my work (I’m particularly invested in architecture, urban planning, and classical music). Otherwise I’m given to wandering, churchy choirs, and bug / herp terrariums. You can connect with me and my work through this Linktree page.
A.I. DISCLAIMER: Nothing that you see in my personal work uses generative A.I. This decision dramatically limits the amount of work I can produce within a lifetime, but it does preserve as much decision-making on my part as possible. Some might call such decision-making ‘art’, after it has been filtered through the lens of the medium I choose to communicate with (which is drawing and painting). Besides, someone needs to make the imperfect but original content that feeds the Machine.
